As I wake up see the light

I interchanged my left and right

And I forgot the name I knew

It is because I dreamed of you.

As I stood up and forced my feet

I brushed my hands and washed my teeth

And combed my face, powdered my hair

It is bacause it’s you I care.

This my trouble’s far from over

Ironed my belt, tightened my trouser

I tied my shirt and buttoned my shoe

It is because I think of you.

As I prepare, our school to see

Brewed my breakfast and ate my coffee

Rode on  my bag and carried our car

Since I just thought of how you are.

And on my way, still all went wrong

I sang a poem, recited a song

Said a riddle and solved a prayer

Because it’s you I most remember.

As I reached school, a great disaster

I counted words and spelled a number

Played my lessons, studied my game

For without you I am but lame.

As I reached home, I could not wait

Boiled my supper, my tea I ate

I washed my food and cooked the dishes

To see you soon is all my wishes.

For me to sit, a chair I took

Read a scrabble and played a book

Composed a picture, a song I drew

It is because I had missed you.

Then went to bed, to rest I’ll be

Watched the radio and hear a movie

Turned off my pillow and hugged the light

To dream of you, I hope I might.
